MAYAMOHINI review

Dileep is definitely underrated as an actor. It was only during individual instances like when he had to dub for Shahid Kapoor in the Hindi remake of 'Punjabi House', or when the Tamil remake of 'Chanthupottu' had to be shelved for lack of 'matching' stars to carry the central role, that the genius of this actor was put in the spotlight. Yet, for a major part of his career, this talented actor had been largely relegated to being just a glorified mimicry artist.

A smashing achievement

Rating: ***1/2 Comic-book geeks needn’t lose heart. Ditto, action aficionados. The upbeat news  is that the ballyhooed Marvel mash-up is not only exciting but, surprise, surprise, also extremely funny.




For starters, The Avengers assembles the dream team of superheroes first mooted nearly half a century ago in Volume 1 of the titular series. Having appeared over the past few years in blockbusters centered on their individual exploits, Iron Man, Thor, Captain America and the Hulk finally unite to prevent earthlings from being subjugated by a malevolent demigod (Tom Hiddleston, suitably sinister).


An ace archer (Jeremy Renner) and a martial arts expert (Scarlett Johansson) capable of fighting her way out of any predicament are unleashed into the fray as well. The do-gooder sextet band together under the command of a veteran soldier (Samuel L Jackson, donning the trademark eyepatch), who

SAMSUNG to release New ANDRIOD GALAXY S3

The latest Samsung Galaxy S3 news: the long-awaited phone has made an appearance on the Amazon Germany site, flaunting its specs.


And they're pretty much as expected, with a couple of exceptions. The screen is listed as a 4.7-inch Super AMOLED, while we were expecting a 4.65-inch Super AMOLED Plus, but let's not quibble.
