Ek Tha Tiger smashes records on Eid

Salman Khan's Ek Tha Tiger continues to weave magic at the box office as it amasses Rs. 20 crore on Eid. The film has broken a series of records. It is not only the biggest first day opener, it also went on to break the first weekend record.Total:120.84 cr nett.

The movie it seems is on a record breaking spree. Firstly, the highest 1st day collection, then the highest on any given day by a movie, then the fastest 100 Crore and now a record breaking Monday, Ek Tha Tiger is indeed on fire. Collections will drop on Tuesday, however the movie has more than just created history. The drop really won’t matter to Salman Khan as the coming weekend will rejuvenate the movie yet again," reports Koimoi.com.

Dark Night Rises Movie Review

The Dark Knight Rises

Plot
Eight years after Batman disappeared, blamed for murder, Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) is a wounded recluse, but Gotham is vibrant — until masked maniac Bane (Tom Hardy) decides it’s high time to bring the city down. Facing this new threat and mysterious cat burglar Selina Kyle (Anne Hathaway), Wayne decides the Dark Knight must rise, once again.

As The Dark Knight Rises, so has anticipation. In 2005, when Christopher Nolan rebooted and resuited Batman, the cinematic reputation of the Caped Crusader was at a pitiful low after the gaudy debacle of The Film That Shall Not Be Named. Now, a short seven years later, Nolan could deliver the print of his trilogy topper in a chariot drawn by flame-breathing unicorns with diamond eyes and some people would still shrug and say, “Meh. It’s not as impressive as The Dark Knight.” In this — as within Rises itself — he could be said to be the victim of his own success. He raised the bar so high, no-one could be expected to clear it. Still, whether you believe this betters Begins or eclipses Knight, it is certainly a satisfying conclusion to what is now — we’re calling it — the best superhero series of all time.

COCKTAIL IS ROCKING BOLLYWOOD

Cocktail: Movie Review

Director: Homi Adajania
Cast: Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone, Diana Penty

Cocktail follows the basic Bollywood genre-geometry of a love triangle. The good part about this one, unlike most love triangles, is that the three protagonists get to know who loves whom pretty early in the picture and the revelation isn't stretched till the climax. However, beyond a point, the film isn't able to use this element to its merit and falls for the regular range of spite-to-sacrifice sentiments of any triangular love story. Cocktail, basically, is the same prose with new grammar.

BILLA 2 Movie Review

Billa 2: Movie Review

A sequel but a prequel. Billa 2, directed by Chakri Toleti (of Unnaipol Oruvan-fame) traces the journey of David Billa and his transformation into a dreaded gangster. It is more style over substance attempting to camouflage cliches.

Billa 2 has a wafer-thin storyline. But Chakri Toleti has intentionally kept the pace swift enough, leaving no time for the viewer to notice loose ends.

Ajith plays a bravado who is forced to turn a warlord. Being an action flick all through, the director seems to have taken some cinematic liberties and ensured that gun-toting men run around with vigour, baying for blood, spraying bullets all around. It is bad versus bad in a bid to assert their supremacy.

BACHELOR PARTY; malayalam movie review

Amal Neerad, the talented director as well as a cinematographer is back with his fourth movie. The main remark of the movie will surely be the exciting star cast. After working as a cinematographer, Amal Neerad turned to direction with 'Big B'. the another significance of this film is that AmaL Neerad himself has turned to be a producer too. There is a fabulous star cast including trendy stars Asif Ali, Prithviraj, Vinayak and so on. The item dance by the Padmapriya really increase the buzz surrounding of the film.

The photographed action sequence and the well planned choreography is the highlight of the film Bachelor party. The slow motion sequences in the film once again proved the class of Amal Neerad as a director. The film set off a spectacular opening. The first day collection decides whether it a crowd puller or not.

Here we include the names of each and every one who worked hard on the screen and behind the screen of the trend setter 'Bachelor party'.

Review By : Unni R NairKerala9.com
Am I confused? Yes indeed. How I wish I needn’t do a review or give a verdict. It’s not an easy job. I wish people stop asking opinions; just see films, like them or dislike them and go back home carrying the memories, good or bad…
Ranjith’s latest film ‘Spirit’ is a film that I wouldn’t like to review or give a verdict about. I’d prefer to see it, think about it, re-visit it if needed and not give out opinions or verdicts. If you ask me whether I liked the movie or not, my answer would be in the affirmative. If you ask me whether the film was really that good, captivating and worth it, I would be a bit confused.

DIAMOND NECKLACE: malayalam movie review

Let me begin with a question, a rhetoric question, about ‘Diamond Necklace’. So, whose film is it? Lal Jose’s…or Fahadh’s?  Well, it’s a real good Lal Jose film; it’s the story that’s the star, it’s the screenplay that steals the show, it’s the narrative that holds your interest. At the very same time, it’s Fahadh Fazil, or rather the actor in him, who leaves you wonderstruck. So much of acting potential, at so young an age?! Well well, age is no criterion for talent. So thanks Lal Jose for ‘Diamond Necklace’; and thanks Fahadh for making ‘Diamond Necklace’ so precious a film for any film-goer, err, any sensible film goer.
Let me not dwell too much on the story; it’s totally unpredictable and you don’t know what’s going to happen next. You might have seen so many films that now you can almost predict which scene is going to follow which. You try it out with ‘Diamond Necklace’, but then you understand that the film’s maker is much smarter and not a single scene would turn out to be what you had expected it to be.
